Australian Technical
Analysts Association FAQ (3)
- Are there any
pre-requisites for membership?
The Australian
Technical Analysts Association is an association of
both professional technical analysts and anyone who
uses technical analysis for private investing,
trading or advising. Membership is varied in
employment, geography, market interest and approach
to the markets. Current members include corporate
treasurers, fund managers, bank analysts and
traders, stockbrokers, financial planners, private
and local traders, investors and students.
There are no
pre-requisites for membership.
- Does the ATAA impose
any continuing professional development on its
members?
The ATAA encourages
continuous improvement and strives to provide as
many opportunities for members as possible to gain
new skills and knowledge. However,
participation is always at the members' discretion
and no requirements are imposed by membership.
- Is there any
designation I can use by being a member of the ATAA?
Membership in the
ATAA does not, itself, provide for the use of any postnominals.
However, members who
successfully complete the Diploma of Technical
Analysis, which is accredited as equivalent to the
International Federation of Technical Analysts (IFTA)
Certified Financial Technician program, are entitled
to use the postnominals 'CFTe' and are granted
access to IFTA's Masters of Financial Technical
Analysis program.
